I believe the author wrote this book to parallel his own personal journey of his awakening process to the inconsistencies and hypocrisies in his worldview that weren't adding up...and the consequences of allowing himself to freely ask questions in his search for answers. The consequences include losing the previous relationships and the temporary, unsettling instability of confronting long-held unfounded beliefs (old wineskin) in favor of a more honest and spacious faith (new wineskin). The layout of the book is easy to follow and uses a lot of dialogue with "wise guides" to explore his questions. Highly recommend!
